Default 2.7 boost

my boost gauge only goes to about 3/4 of the way on the gauge, is it supposed to go all the way to 140 kpa on the gauge? this is even under heavy acceleration.

That is 20+PSI and a max+ for most stock Ecoboost's (even tuned versions). Much past that and the sensors can not read it. KM

Would you ever use a gauge on something that maxes out during use?

A factory tune 2.7 only gets to 16 PSI under normal conditions say 110 KPA. My tuned and modified 2017 2.7 will reach 20+ PSI in third, sometimes in second, never in first. KM

Sounds about right. When I had my 2.7, it seamed to peak at 75% of the boost gauge. After I tuned it, it would easily bury itself at the 20psi mark.

Mine runs to the top around 4K RPM and tapers, but I run 93 octane.

My truck is a 3.5EB but I noticed that my boost has been dropping lower and lower over the past month, it used to hit 18-19psi and tapper off to 15-16psi at redline, but my truck started maxing out at 15-16psi and tapering off to 10-11psi. I reset the KAM on my truck and it was instantly back to maxing out at 18-19psi. I'm not sure why this happened, but I'll be keeping an eye on it to see if it starts happening again.

Having a similar issue with no CEL or codes. Did you ever get to the bottom of this? Thanks
