You may already know, but no need to worry.
For 2024, you can Only get a 5.0 , and only with 3.73, in the regular cab short bed. The 2.7 3.5 and 5.0 are all available in the RCLB.

I just checked out the 2025 build and price and for 2025, the same specs are in place for the RCSB. Didn’t check the RCLB specs.

Wondering why you cannot get the 2.7 eco boost in the RCSB?

Picked this one up yesterday.
I ordered early March, waited patiently and it was delivered last Wednesday evening.
If you like short beds,,,and 5.0’s,,,you are in
luck as it is the only available engine in a RCSB, along with the 3.73 being the only available rear end in the RCSB. Fortunately those were the choices I was after, anyway.
After one day of cruising, I will say this thing is a Hot Rod!!! I’m replacing the gen 13 in the picture, 2.7 with 3.73 EL and it’s been an awesome truck with incredible low rpm performance. It was a great truck.
That being said, this gen 14, with the new grille, with LED headlamps, is my favorite of all the new grilles. The LED cluster along with the large touch screen has also trickled down to the XL since I bought my 19.
I have Fuel Beast wheels with brand new 275/65/18 Michelin defender MS2’s to go on soon . A one year old BAK revolver top to go on today. I also have Fox coil overs, at 2” ready for installation. I’ll only add a couple more things, an OEM tailgate damper, and rear wheel liners.
I got a kick out of an earlier thread, a comment about being worried that Ford would discontinue the V8 for 2024. Ford did the opposite and made it the only available engine for the RCSB, and the 3.73 the only available rear end. I wanted both, so perfect.
Was a nasty

day, so my first pictures are not as good as I would want.
Ordered mine last week RCSB V8 in Atlas Blue.

I know! You can still get all the available engines in the long bed.
I’ll tell you, I was thinking of buying, and I worried that they may quite making the short bed, I decided to go with one, just in case.
The only combination I was interested in, was the combo they offered this year.
I will say, my 2019 RCSB 2.7 3.73 was a lot of fun to drive, with incredible low end torque.
My 2024 RCSB 5.0 3.73 is a total different ballgame. A beautiful total different ball game.

Finally got the summer wheels with new tires on the new rig.

Has anyone swapped out their gas tank for something larger? I know the 36 gallon doesn't work, but what about the 30.6 gallon from the power boosts?
