I didn't fit right and was shaved some how during production looked terrible. I need to get with whipple to figure out how to get another one just been lazy trying to call them up. I was hoping that the open cai would make it sound better too but the whipple doesn't wine like other super chargers.

I have owned two Chevy Silverado 1500s. This is my first Ford. I really like it. Smooth, powerful engine. Better brakes and transmission.

It’s a 2023 Ford F150 XL. Regular cab with 5.0L. 8’ bed. I bought it 272 miles away in a Chicago suburb. It was the most deceitful sale I have experienced in 40 years of buying vehicles. They added a LoJack and some BS paint and interior treatment, and didn’t tell me until I was signing the papers. I still bought it because it’s hard to find reg cab, 8’ bed V8s.

I added Bullring pop up tiedowns in the stake pockets. A Truxedo LoPro tonneau cover, bed mat. I just ordered the DeeZee tailgate step and tailgate assist. I like the stock wheels. This is how a truck should look. It’s a truck. I have a VW Atlas for carting grandkids around. I didn’t do it on purpose but they’re both White with Black accents. I’m usually a Chrome person but I do like the White/Black look.

nice truck, I must say the 21’ plus
base model 150 interiors are quite
an improvement over previous versions, seem to include enough
feature’s allowing people to save several thousand $ and able to afford
a newer truck

Hey gang.

I'm very interested in seeing interior storage mods (merchants seem to be for other cabs only).

I am 5'10" (can't imagine anyone else driving very far) and I am very happy with my seats forward of the mid seat rear most point (I will never slide back to fit a 7 footer). So, I'm thinking a 5 foot wide box affair that would level that rear 'floor' platform up to level and, oh, then a full foot wide front to back. Built/seen anything?

I have also removed that surplus material rear pad, for item rack layout. (By the way, cheap as it is, it really cuts out road noise.) I expect I will cut out mounting points to pass through the pad eventually. I want to move the comm. module down (just rotate on the wires), add an inverter, a amp/dsp and a fire extinguisher (only item needing exposure through the pad). So far, I think I'm gonna bend up aluminum 'rulers' to anchor at the upper box, double tape to back wall for rattling, and anchor again to the bottom box (I'm real leery to drill outer wall and rivet or screw through).

So, I think I will end up with grocery bag size storage length behind driver, bag size width behind passenger, and extinguisher accessible behind jump seat.

(Eventually I will have rolling bed trays for jack and off road stuff.)

Comments, thoughts, PICS?

I just left the area in back of the seats unchanged, keeping the available volume. I can manage quite a bit of stuff back there up to a full 3200 CID backpack. Did remove the center folding seat to open the between seat space for storage. Just to check the volume dropped a 48 quart Coleman cooler in there comfortably.

Slick as that fit a more usefull container was a Plano 54 quart storage box.

That holds a LOT more than the jump seat storage did. May not be elegant but neither am I. This worked quite well for a 6000 mile road-trip out west my wife and I did 2022, we are both in our 70's

KM

Edited, mixed 62 liter for 3200 CID on the backpack size.Corrected that mix up. km

We are still deciding if she will ever sit in the center seat - so far only if I say something.
Tiny as she is, her legs are too long for that hump.

I'm hoping to find an actual compressor refrig that will go behind pass seat, and open so I can reach while driving.

My rear is just enough to trick me into setting a bag there, that then falls forward and empties - hence my desire for extending the shelf forward.

Slight bit of progress...
So, when I initially tried to remove jack/tools bracket, I very innocently pushed down on the bolt heads to keep socket engaged - WRONG! I did succeed in pushing some sort of square rivnuts out of the sheetmetal. Tried to get a socket on the backside, pouted for a while, planned to get a sawblade between parts, shied away from that for major paint damage, etc... Finally realized drilling out the bolts was the way to go, fairly easy to do.
So now, I have a fairly flat floor there, except:
The leftmost (rear view, passengermost?) bolt hole has a raised area, and the other 2 are flat. So, I'm wondering if Ford created a dimple before inserting the rivnut for that 1 hole only, or did I manage to pry a dimple around the hole as I was prying the head off the bolt?
Anyone get their bracket off cleanly, and seen under it?

Default It’s been too long!

Okay! Time to bring this thread back into sight.
Picked this one up yesterday.
I ordered early March, waited patiently and it was delivered last Wednesday evening.
If you like short beds,,,and 5.0’s,,,you are in
luck as it is the only available engine in a RCSB, along with the 3.73 being the only available rear end in the RCSB. Fortunately those were the choices I was after, anyway.
After one day of cruising, I will say this thing is a Hot Rod!!! I’m replacing the gen 13 in the picture, 2.7 with 3.73 EL and it’s been an awesome truck with incredible low rpm performance. It was a great truck.
That being said, this gen 14, with the new grille, with LED headlamps, is my favorite of all the new grilles. The LED cluster along with the large touch screen has also trickled down to the XL since I bought my 19.
I have Fuel Beast wheels with brand new 275/65/18 Michelin defender MS2’s to go on soon . A one year old BAK revolver top to go on today. I also have Fox coil overs, at 2” ready for installation. I’ll only add a couple more things, an OEM tailgate damper, and rear wheel liners.
I got a kick out of an earlier thread, a comment about being worried that Ford would discontinue the V8 for 2024. Ford did the opposite and made it the only available engine for the RCSB, and the 3.73 the only available rear end. I wanted both, so perfect.
Was a nasty

day, so my first pictures are not as good as I would want.
