Get together
Here is an area that has an off roading area and also lots of campgrounds and other great things to see and do. When I was in the Army we used to take the HMMWVs and FAVs out there to put them and us through the paces. (and maybe have some fun)

I would seriously consider going. Starting in August, we will be traveling with TT and if know in advance dates and location, can schedule into trip. We plan on being on the road for 3 months. Starting in Virginia and touring the USA all the way to California and back.

I went to a national Mustang show/meeting in Indianapolis a few years back. I forget where, but it was at a racing venue. But then in 2016 Mustang Club of America did an anniversary meet at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. That would be an epic venue I would think. (full disclosure, I'm from Indiana). Still though, went there this past summer for a Cars and Coffee, and it was really sweet. Indy 500 museum is there, and they did tours of the track. Just an idea, and still kind of in the middle of the country.

I would be interested, again would depend on Timing as summer I have a few other vacations planned, those are in June. I would consider some place with plenty of RV parks and plenty of Hotels. A lot of us with Trucks will be towing RV's those without need place to sleep as well.
Kansas city might be a nice place to go, large enough and big enough night life. Kansas City BBQ is good. No not going to start an argument on BBQ, it's not Texas and it's not Carolina but it is good in it's own style.
You might even get Ford to sponsor it being one of the Truck plants is in the area. Maybe Group Tours a few days before. Watch some F150's go down the line. If you have never seen it, it is quite a spectacle to watch trucks get built.
