Well 15k miles in and still loving it. I’m about to be changed to a company truck this week so it will be a garage queen soon and then will be doing some upgrades.
The only thing I did was change to a different tune for 5k miles and I went back to the stock whipple tune as their trans running was awful which I think was making me feel like I lost power even though they claim 50-60hp over the stock tune. So far I’ve wasted $3k on this setup and I even did my homework, that’s the part that disappointed me the most is redoing bad decisions.

No it was a PBD tune on an SCT tuner. 1300 for one tune and it was definitely not as good as the stock whipple tune. They seem great with Mustangs but not so much with heavy trucks.

I never understood why the tuning hardware has to look like the $50 OBD scanner from autozone. For $500 for just the tuner can they make it look nice mounted on the dash for data logging? Lunds N gauge looked great on my GT350 dash, what can’t they look like that?

Unhappy Whipple Gen 5 3 Install

I realize this is an older post and I may not get an answer.
Question:
I've installed a Gen 5.3 Whipple and want to add a boost gauge. Any photo or description where I can install a tee for the boost gauge ??

2019 Coyote F150.

If the blower is already installed, you could put a tee here so you don't have to completely disassemble everything:

Default Boost Gauge Install

Thanks for your response !
What you are saying is to cut the 1/4 " line and install the "T" between the points indicated. Do not touch any hardware!

Is this correct?

Thanks.

Yes, tee off the rubber line going to the actuator. No need to disassemble anything. This is based on me looking at where the elbow is tapped in the housing. You should get full vacuum through boost at that spot. I'd recommend emailing support@whipplesuperchargers.com to confirm. They are really responsive.

Thank you for the information. I'll be getting to it as soon as it warms up a bit here.

Thanks Again.

Why can't you just log boost? Personally, I found overhead boost gauges useless because if you have a quick vehicle, you will never really look at it during a pull. It's more important to log it.
