Default Tune help for a CA guy please

Picked up a 2018 2.7 a couple months ago, coming from a Coyote truck. Obviously with the great restrictions in CA I couldn't get a tuner easily.
I won't name names, because the vendors are definitely trying to help, but I did end up getting an SCT BDX. I have it in my possession.
The difficulty now is getting legit tunes. 5 Star understandably won't email tunes because they have info my truck is in CA. Honesty screwed me on that, and I can't blame them because they don't want to risk fines.
My question is does anyone know how I can get legit tunes (not canned) for my device?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Unfortunately you must have let the cat out of the bag. I have friends in ca and as long as you already have the device you're just using your email then add an out of state address to your PayPal to use. It's worked for all of them.

But yeah, unfortunately with all the cracking down most reputable companies won't knowingly sell to carb complient states.

I did find a reputable shop who sent me a tune this morning, I won't say who because who knows just how bad CA is.
When I tuned my Coyote a few years ago all I had to do was send an email saying it was for off-highway use. Something substantial must have changed in the last few years!

It's not just the address anymore, that's where I hit the wall.
A big-name tuner wants registration documents for any vehicle they create a tune for, to prove it's not even registered in CA.
My truck has a TX temp tag because of how I purchased it and even that wasn't good enough for them. Can't say I blame them, CA is ridiculous.

well I guess if you consider the possibility of them losing the ability to do business and feed their families stupid...
sounds like you probably don’t know how the epa works, not trying to sound like I'm being insulting but... it’s much deeper than the tuning company trying to regulate you with your regulations where you're at.
