Default Tru trac coming for super 8.8

I was surfing on Facebook and came across some news about a true trac for those of us with the super 8.8. Hoping this happens. I will definitely be getting me one of these!

I would hold off on ordering for the time being. They don't explicitly say Super 8.8 and regular 8.8 is not the same. They also say "Front and Rear fitment". Is that different part nubmers, 1 for front and 1 for rear or 1 part number for either? S8.9 and front 8.8 are different as well

I don’t think there is a regular 8.8 in 15-20 f150 only super 8.8 the regular 8.8 was in Obs fords 92-97

yeah I thought the same thing so I asked on that feed about it being for the super 8.8. I believe the author of that post messaged back and said it was the super 8.8 and it was announced at sema. he also replied that he has e-mailed Eaton about it and they said that it should be coming out in the first quarter of 2024.
Like all things in life I say I’ll believe it when I see it! Lol. If it does come to fruition I’m sure they’ll sell a decent amount of them. The super 8.8 is pretty robust and not worth switching to a 9.75. I did contemplate doing a swap as I really wanted the true trac and not a clutch type lsd but when I looked into it,it was going to cost a few dollars and time etc… so I settled for what I have. This changes things. Going to regear to 4:10 as well.
If I’m not mistaken the 8.8 in the front hasn’t changed for years and I believe eaton already makes a true trac for the front no? I could be wrong.

I'm aware but the aftermarket doesn't always recognize some things like that

Oh sweet! They've updated it then since when they first announced it, used to only say "Ford 8.8 C-Clip" with our years matched.
