Default Display ethanol content on SCT/BDX/nGauge

Hi all. Quick question for the tuned E30/E50/E85 guys. What are you using to measure/display ethanol percentage on your SCT/BDX/nGauge device? Inferred PCM values or analog input from a dedicated sensor?

I built an arduino-based solution (using a GM sensor) for a Mustang which I can reuse if need be, but would prefer to use the inferred values if they are accurate.

Doesnt the nGauge have a native alcohol percentage readout?

I'm not sure. I know it works for 2011-2017 5.0, I'll send it. Give it a try.

Looks good - how have you found the accuracy?

I have a test kit also and it's spot on. What truck do you have? Shoot me your email and I'll send you the file. Can't hurt to try.

Can you send me that also? I added an alcohol PID to my normal data log file but it doesn’t read on the actual BDX, just the data log on the laptop.

Default I had 5 star activate the PID in my E tunes

You’d be amazed the number of folks that say this requires a sensor. I think asking your tuner to “turn on the PID” is the solution with the NGauge, only required on vehicles that aren’t factory Flex Fuel.
