I'm sure they're fine.
about 14 years ago I had an electronic cutout. The motor was ridiculously slow...you had to hold the switch down until the exhaust got its loudest...which is when you knew it was fully open.
Haven't experienced new ones but I have to figure the motors are a tad faster, haha
