If you bought a truck to be the fastest guy on the block, you're doing it wrong.

Why is this such a hostile discussion? Want to find out how quick your truck is? Bring it to the drag strip and **** off the people in cars trying to go fast while you drag water down the strip and run a 14 second pass.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a brodozer at the local strip driving his 14" wide tires straight through the water box and then dropping sand at the starting line.

Edit:
Have there ever been timeslips posted for a 2.7 truck? If not, i'll make a pass at the end of the night in my bone stock 2.7 supercrew the next time I go.

If you're planning on racing you bought the wrong engine. Although I will admit at the track these little engines are surprisingly the fastest bone stock. Don't quote me but I believe I saw a mini ecoboost (I call em) run a 13.7 in a reg cab and a 13.9 in a excab bone stock. I've seen guys in tuned 3.5 Ecos pulling high 11s. Them turbos are no joke.

13.7 in a RCSB is not bad. Just 1/2 second behind the 5.0 RCSB stock.
BTW, I beat a Hemi Ram in my wife's 2.0 Escape, so I'm not impressed with that that statement from the rerun kid. I would hope a 2.7 could beat one.

Lol I hear that, I owned a couple rams and they're not very impressive. Where did you see a 5.0 run 13.2 stock? I went 14.3 in mine stock .

Holy crap! That's a whole second faster than the 17's. I gotta look into one of those new 10speeds! Sweet!

Go to the Official Quarter Mile Time List in this Performance Section.Go to Page 4 post 39 first time slip is from my 2.7L Eco Boost F-150!!!FWIW IIRC a 2.7L Eco Boost F-150 has been in the mid to high 12's in the 1/4 mile with a Tune!!!

Wonder why that is? I get called B.S.on everything say yet I still won't call b.s. on what someone else says because it's disrespectful but this guy just posted he ran 14.3 with his rcsb 5.0. I've seen a number of 15-17' f150s down the track run 14.5-14.8s. I haven't seen any other timeslips on here of any stock 5.0s running anything near that. 10hp and a newer transmission gives the truck a whole second in the quarter mile?? Because if that's the case that same transmission and 20ft lbs tq in the 18'2.7 should give that a second as well and keep it in front of the 5.0
