Default Quarter 2.7 vs 3.5 vs 5.0

We've beat on this topic quite a bit. I own a 2.7 and a 5.0. This is my third 5.0 in this body style. I've been to the track a number of times, ran my trucks and seen a number of F150s run. And I'm only writing this as my opinion for guys looking for the fastest truck. And bone stock, same configuration the 2.7L is the quickest in the quarter mile by a slight margin over the 3.5eco, then the 5.0 is just a tad behind. If you're looking to dump around $500 bucks into the truck then the 3.5 is the way to go as you can expect 12 second times depending on configuration with a good tune. If you're ok with dumping $5k + into the truck then the 5.0 is the way to go because they are absolute monsters with a blower running in the 11s or better. As far as comparison with other brands, all three of these engines beat the heavier 395hp hemi rams easily, they beat the Nissan titan 5.6 easily, they all beat the 381hp Toyota however these are surprisingly quick esp with 4.10s, and they beat the gm 355hp 5.3 easily with the 6.2 running pretty close with all three Ford engines but still behind. Just one guys opinion based on my extensive experience.

Straight up, you are obsessed with this situation. This is sooooo not a big deal and it seems like you post something about this constantly.

This is a performance and racing section. Anyone interested in learning about the performance of these trucks is entitled to unbiased opinions. Hopefully this thread isn't hijacked like every other one I post and deleted by guys trying to hide the truth. And I believe the truth is these guys work for whipple and use this site as a sales tool for their superchargers. I stated how fast these trucks are with superchargers, however 90% of guys wanna buy the fastest stock truck and have no intention of doing any performance upgrades. And that truck is the 2.7L. Please don't try to discredit me or anyone else. I have a right to my own opinion and have done a lot of research in this topic.

Bro if my memory serves me correct you have a 3.5 running mid 12s correct? If so, that's pretty damn impressive esp because you didn't have to put a lot of money out to run that. And their isn't another new truck that will run that without investing thousands in a supercharger. Bravo, that's the way I'd go. Not sure why you're busting my ***** , and I haven't been on here in a couple months.

This is certainly a BIG deal for newbies like myself who are interested in learning about the performance on these trucks and how they stand against the competition.

You haven't been around much, but every single time this guy makes a thread it's a 2.7 vs all thread. I don't understand it, but, he just does this often.

And as far as what my truck is running, it's very obviously limited by traction and my 60 ft. Once i get the traction i'm looking for, definitely going low 12's.

Dear God, here we go again.

A 2.7 gets raped by the other engine options. My offer still stands, bring your 2.7 over here and I'll dust it like a coffee table with my 125,670 mile 5.0.

I don't know what planet you live on where an engine with less power is faster than the same truck with an engine that makes more power, but it's not Earth.

LMFAO! ! And its a 2013??! Yeaaaa ok.. Hey for anybody new reading this thread unfortunately you're going to have a lot of guys whos ego is hurt that a smaller engine beats their bigger engine (and I have no idea why, but it's pathetic ) but it's the truth. I own both and stock vs stock the 2.7 is faster in the quarter mile .
