I am trying to decide if 5 star or another tuner would be best after I get my CRP stage 4 turbos and more. I will need custom tuning at that point and 5Star doesnt even sell CRP turbos.

The plugs they sent me, the GT one step colder plug, it states they are for 2010-2017 3.5 Ecoboost. Does that mater as I have a 2020 3.5?

Plugs are M-12405-35T

I now have about 1,500 miles on my 93 perf 5* tune. Is it worth it to do some data logs? I still need to install my GT plugs too.

100% worth doing a few datalogs and getting a few revisions. It'll be like a completely different tune. As with any company the first tune they send you is pretty much an "off the shelf" tune it doesn't become truly custom until you do datalogging and revisions to dial it into your particular truck, elevation, fuel quality…

With all that being said though there's a lot of people that are perfectly happy with the first initial tune sent.

definitely. Lots of knock on their base tunes on two different trucks for me.

regardless, both were pulling 5-6 degrees of timing throughout a 0-80ish pull.

Big difference….pulled timing is not knock.

Generally fuel is the issue if a 5 star tune is pulling timing. but I agree with your point being that logs are great to dial things in to your truck, fuel and situation.
