Default ported tvs elbow

https://www.vmpperformance.com/VMP-T...icle_blower=23

does this work on the roush 2300 tvs blower for the '13 f150? is it a worthwhile investment?

i'm thinking of throwing this in the mix if/when I switch to a new tuner, depending on what you guys tell me

I do not believe it will. From what I remember my 14 had a 90 elbow. The outlet on the F150 is not the same as the mustang. Mustang has about a 45 elbow.

Not that I recall. I looked into that back when I had my 14. I had found a guy on svt site I think it was. He offered porting of the elbows.

Whats in the way of using the 45 and rebuilding the air intake?

well if I had your fabrication skills that might be doable...

I guess the next question would be why the existing elbow couldn't be ported

I suppose the 45 is better just because it's a 45 instead of a 90

Straighten the air flow out. As much as possible. The 90 maybe able to be welded and ported but id need to see it to tell. these superchargers love increasing the size of everything in front of the rotors.

you know I was kicking it around, however it would probably be pretty easy from here to surpass what the short block can handle safely. Probably adding the 72mm pulley would be sufficient....then on the other hand, with a ported elbow, maybe it would make as much power as switching to the smaller pulley.

i'm waiting to hear back from BadCon's guy about tuning my truck. I'm sue I can ask him how much further I can push it and what supporting mods would be required.

On your setup no, it's not going to add much, not with the stock GT500 throttle body. There isn't really cheap horsepower left at this point, and I'd save your pennies for the impending fuel upgrades...as Matt is going to want at least injectors with a 72mm pulley.
