Official Quarter Mile Time List

I’d like to make a master list of 1/4 mile times for the Ford truck owners on the forum. This must be a time you personally ran in your personal vehicle at a drag strip to make the list. Please post your truck configuration, engine/transmission, and any supporting mods. Copy and paste my template and put in your own information.
For example:

Year: 2016
Model: XLT
Engine: 2.7 Ecoboost
Cab: Supercrew
Bed Length: 5.5’
2WD/4WD: 4WD
Gears: 3.55 E-Locker
Transmission: 6 speed
Weight: 5,000lbs
Mods: 100% stock
1/4 time: 14.662
MPH: 91.89

Bonus points for posting timeslips or videos. Please no arguing or bickering, this is strictly an informational thread. Maybe a moderator can sticky this. Happy racing!

Its strange to call this the Official Quarter Mile Time List but not require the only official piece of documentation, a time slip. It might also be a good idea to add the bed length to your template.

I expect people to be honest. I could go to my buddies house and grab one of his low 11 second time slips and claim it was my run, if someone’s going to lie, so be it. Bed length is good idea.

Also people, I made a template in the original post, please cut and paste, and fill in your own information. Makes it easier for people viewing to see exactly what truck is running what time.

6 1/2'. It would look funny to see one of these new 18s in a long bed with a ladder rack smokin the tires running 13s.

ImSofaKingWeToddId 12-18-2017 03:59 PM

For anyone interested. A guy that hunts with us has a 2018 F150 SuperCab 5.0 355s. He's got a leveling kit with 285s. STX with 18" wheels. He had 4 timeslips running at Delmar dragway. His best was a 14.39 @ 96. launching in 4x4 with a 2.08 60. Pretty quick truck!

Yeah, that's the whole reason I went with 4WD.

Impressive! I looked up a P100d and it looks like some of their 60-Foot times are in 1.55-1.75 neighborhood. What tires and size are you running....if you don't mind me asking?

Goodyear F1 Supercar 285/35 22. They are quite a bit shorter than stock so they don't really look right unless you lower the truck quite a bit.

https://www.goodyear.com/en-US/tires...BBCardTireName

Every pass I've made have all been in the 1.67 - 1.69 range, I don't think I'm going to improve it until I get a little looser converter...

Thanks!
Those are the same tires but a different size that were OE on my '01 Z06, the size you're running are about 30 diameter". I bet they do look a little funny but who cares they seem to hook up well.

You had a really good launch. Your 3.5 time is on par due to a decent launch but your mph is a little low from what I've seen. Most 3.5s are pulling 96-99. Where are you running your truck and what were the temps?

Thompson Raceway in Thompson,Ohio I would say both times were in the 60's to maybe 70 degrees at the most!!!

I can't find the best time slip. I posted the two others I could find. The 14 was one stock, the 13 was after the tune, but after adding 3-400 pounds of wheels/tires and other accessories.

I can't find the best time slip. I posted the two others I could find. The 14 was one stock, the 13 was after the tune, but after adding 3-400 pounds of wheels/tires and other accessories.

Nice run. It's very cool to see you what those little engines can do with barely modifying them at all.

Updated. Let me know if I missed anything.

2.42 60' with 3.73s and you still went a 14.1.... man if you threw a single drag radial on your spare , popped it on the pasanger side .. I bet you could get a 13.5 stock. And easy 12s with your tune. What was the temp when you ran? Did you run 93 octane?

I literally ran the truck the day after I bought it with 240 miles on it. The problem that night was wheel hop. It's got an e-locker, but even if I left at idle and as soon as the boost came in it would go crazy. I don't know what fuel was in it as it was what ever the dealership put in it. Lol. The temp was in the 70s if I remember right. I was expecting more when I went back with the 93 performance tune though. I lowered the back and clamped the overload and that stopped the wheel hop, but now tire spin was an issue especially on 22" tires. This thing just makes so much torque down low it just kills the tires. I added a lot of weight from the initial bone stock passes so I guess I can't complain about almost 8 tenths and 5mph. I am going to get me some drag radials and remove the weight and put on the stock 17s and see where it goes. I know it'll stall up to 23-2400 rpm so if I can stick it and get a good 60', I'm hoping it'll knock on the 12s.

UNBROKEN 02-09-2018 05:23 AM

It just takes time and practice. ID Motorsports 2018 CCSB 2wd went 13.0 on a 1.9 60’ on the stock street tires yesterday. Learning how to get the thing out of the hole will make or break a run.

UNBROKEN 02-09-2018 08:05 AM

Yes. Headers, intake and tune.

Hey guys just an fyi, a good friend of mine ran a 13.3 @ 101 in a stock 2.7 sbrc 4x4 with 33" nitto all terrains..had a helluva launch. He's going to send me the time slip this weekend.

Tune?

ImSofaKingWeToddId 02-16-2018 04:32 PM

No bone stock run and it's legitimate. Fastest I've seen from any of these engines.

J-MAN8 02-18-2018 12:37 AM

I don't know the accuracy of any one else's 2.7, but mine run 14.19@99 bone stock leaving at idle to avoid crazy wheel hop...2.4 60'. With a 93 tune and adding 400 pounds in accessories, it went 13.45@104.(about what a stock 18/10spd 5.0 runs) I got the wheel hop stopped, but now it spins to a 2.24 60'. I bought some drag radials and plan on a tune revision or two to dial it in and go for some 12s. I posted my slips and will update when I get better ones!

Mark Miller 02-18-2018 01:31 AM

FWIW when I had my Bone Stock 2015 Super Cab 4X4 with 6 1/2' bed 2.7L Eco Boost with 3.55 gears and 20" Wheels it ran a 14.53@92.55 mph and was just as fast or faster then another guys[don't remember his name] on here's identical configuration 2015 or 2016 5.0 truck. Now granted the 2018 5.0 with more power and torque and the 10 speed is faster but in 2015-2017 a 2.7L Eco Boost F-150 runs right with the 5.0 trucks in identical configurations!!!!I have a 2017 STX Super Crew 4x4 now with the 3.5L Eco Boost and 3.55 gears and it only ran about a tenth faster then my old 2.7L Eco Boost truck but guys on here said I should have launched the 2017 different and used 93 octane gas but the 2017 and 2015 both had 87 octane fuel in them when I raced them!!

w00t692 02-18-2018 05:15 PM

I made a thread when i ran 12.60's with time slips and everything. Hell i went back to the track like a month later and did 12.60's again. So go lighten up your truck, put 93 in the bitch and hit the track and run into the 13's and shut everyone up.

Although i feel like a doofus because after putting in 1 step colder plugs i'm running as much timing when it's 80 degrees outside and humid as i was when it was goddamned 30 outside and not humid. Probably missed out on 30 more horsepower cuz i didn't change the spark plugs.

w00t692 02-20-2018 06:46 PM

Phew, i still went faster with just tuning, only barely at 12.82. Thank goodness. BTW if you haven't put e85 in it, you seriously need to do that and some longtubes. Probably be faster than me after that. At least you'd be making similar horsepower while weighing 400 lbs less so in theory you should be faster.

I don't have my phone next to me but this slip is um:

60' - 2.086
330 - 5.534
1/8 - 8.334 @ 87.66
1/4 - 12.82 @ 109.06

I'm spinning plenty here, hitting torque management on the shifts back then (fixed that) and 1st gear i absolutely pedaled the **** out of it.

Anyways, looks like the 5.0 is very competitive again, took gearing and a massive boost in power under the curve compared to the outgoing 5.0, but it's there now and it's a beast.

Fwiw I went 14.9 stock in my 13 RCSB. That was with heavy 20" rims though on 275/55/20 tires.

It's a bit slow. I managed a 14.0 @ 100. I've seen a couple go into the 13's bone stock with good track prep and weather.

4x4? You gotta brake boost. you should be pullin a 1.8 60'
4Hi. Press traction control once, press again and hold for 8 seconds.
Sport mode.
4Hi.
foot on the brake as hard as you can with as much accelerator pedal as you can without moving...on last yellow, let off the brake, GO
Always go on the last yellow. I shut off 4hi at 40mph or so.

Stock torque management won't really let you pull off the line hard enough to get a 1.8 60 ft, even with 4x4.

I agree I was Brake Boost launching 2,300-2,400 rpm didn't try sport mode i'm just wandering why my 2.7L Eco Boost truck had a 2.05 60 ft.but only got a 2.12 and 2.13 60 ft with this 3.5L 10 speed automatic truck?

Depending on how fussy you are about staging, that could explain the difference.

Went to the drag strip tonight. Best run of 14.662 @ 91.89mph. I think that’s the best this engine will run in this supercrew cab trim. I ran about 8 times and got 91mph trap speed every run, in 4x4.

Still stock. Computer won’t let me launch harder than I was. Tried a few launches around 3,000rpm’s and the computer cut fuel. Track elevation is right at sea level I believe, around 30 feet.

That's pretty good IMO for a Super Crew 4x4 the best my bone stock 2015 Super Cab 4x4 ran with the 2.7 Eco Boost was a 14.56@93.07 mph and a 14.53@92.55 mph track elevation was 1,100 ft above sea level what was your best 60ft time?

Bigcat1185 05-13-2018 01:42 AM

Sixty footer was 2.035. I’d like to see my trap speed in the 93mph range but I think it’s a weight issue with the truck being super crew cab.

The 14.56 pass I had a 2.050 60 ft and the 14.53 pass was a 2.014 60 ft!!!I wish I could get this 2017 XL Super Crew 4x4 with the 3.5L Eco Boost and 3.55 gears to 60ft like the 2.7 Eco Boost F-150 did if so I could probably run 14.20's or better!!!And IMO you're probably right about the weight of your truck and your trap speed mph!!

Anyone know how I can clean up the first page? I can’t figure out how to get rid of the lines of code. They don’t show up when I try and edit the post.

If you click on source it should show you the code and allow you clean it up. They broke the site with one of their latest updates...

Missed it by that much, boo.

Nice!...was that with a 100 shot?

More than that....

Around a 150 shot....but it isn’t yielding much more than the 125 shot - the engine is having breathing issues, and I was having either wheel hop or spin. I need to sort out the launch to hit 11’s, maybe a 2018 mustang intake is the way to go as well.

Dodge Helcat was the other vehicle lol.

I was wondering about that...Your 60ft time is pretty damn good...You smoked him there...Sure is a big difference in trap speed...The truck having the aerodynamics of a brick doesn't help.

I can't find the best time slip. I posted the two others I could find. The 14 was one stock, the 13 was after the tune, but after adding 3-400 pounds of wheels/tires and other accessories.

Geez, with those trap speeds and an improved launch, you’d be hitting high 12’s

Absolutely. If he had drag radials he could run a 13.4-13.5 stock and high 12s with the tuner. Those 60` times are killing him. 2wd with 3:73s you need drag radials. That's fast for a stock truck!
