Official Quarter Mile Time List
I’d like to make a master list of 1/4 mile times for the Ford truck owners on the forum. This must be a time you personally ran in your personal vehicle at a drag strip to make the list. Please post your truck configuration, engine/transmission, and any supporting mods. Copy and paste my template and put in your own information. For anyone interested. A guy that hunts with us has a 2018 F150 SuperCab 5.0 355s. He's got a leveling kit with 285s. STX with 18" wheels. He had 4 timeslips running at Delmar dragway. His best was a 14.39 @ 96. launching in 4x4 with a 2.08 60. Pretty quick truck!

In 2WD traction is going to be a problem on street tires. If I tried to make any early boost with my Procharger, which comes in easier than the TVS, I had traction problems on my 2WD with street tires. It makes me want a 4WD.

I don't get the huge diff in mph between our 2.7s, I pulled 99mph stock . I haven't seen a lot of 2.7 slips. You're heavier in a 4x4 and you have 3.55s compared to 3.31s . You had a really good launch. Your 3.5 time is on par due to a decent launch but your mph is a little low from what I've seen. Most 3.5s are pulling 96-99. Where are you running your truck and what were the temps?

It just takes time and practice. ID Motorsports 2018 CCSB 2wd went 13.0 on a 1.9 60’ on the stock street tires yesterday. Learning how to get the thing out of the hole will make or break a run.

No bone stock run and it's legitimate. Fastest I've seen from any of these engines.

I don't know the accuracy of any one else's 2.7, but mine run 14.19@99 bone stock leaving at idle to avoid crazy wheel hop...2.4 60'. With a 93 tune and adding 400 pounds in accessories, it went 13.45@104.(about what a stock 18/10spd 5.0 runs) I got the wheel hop stopped, but now it spins to a 2.24 60'. I bought some drag radials and plan on a tune revision or two to dial it in and go for some 12s. I posted my slips and will update when I get better ones!

FWIW when I had my Bone Stock 2015 Super Cab 4X4 with 6 1/2' bed 2.7L Eco Boost with 3.55 gears and 20" Wheels it ran a 14.53@92.55 mph and was just as fast or faster then another guys[don't remember his name] on here's identical configuration 2015 or 2016 5.0 truck.Now granted the 2018 5.0 with more power and torque and the 10 speed is faster but in 2015-2017 a 2.7L Eco Boost F-150 runs right with the 5.0 trucks in identical configurations!!!!I have a 2017 STX Super Crew 4x4 now with the 3.5L Eco Boost and 3.55 gears and it only ran about a tenth faster then my old 2.7L Eco Boost truck but guys on here said I should have launched the 2017 different and used 93 octane gas but the 2017 and 2015 both had 87 octane fuel in them when I raced them!!

I made a thread when i ran 12.60's with time slips and everything. Hell i went back to the track like a month later and did 12.60's again. So go lighten up your truck, put 93 in the bitch and hit the track and run into the 13's and shut everyone up.
Although i feel like a doofus because after putting in 1 step colder plugs i'm running as much timing when it's 80 degrees outside and humid as i was when it was goddamned 30 outside and not humid. Probably missed out on 30 more horsepower cuz i didn't change the spark plugs. |

Phew, i still went faster with just tuning, only barely at 12.82. Thank goodness. BTW if you haven't put e85 in it, you seriously need to do that and some longtubes. Probably be faster than me after that. At least you'd be making similar horsepower while weighing 400 lbs less so in theory you should be faster.

60' - 2.086 330 - 5.534 1/8 - 8.334 @ 87.66 1/4 - 12.82 @ 109.06 I'm spinning plenty here, hitting torque management on the shifts back then (fixed that) and 1st gear i absolutely pedaled the **** out of it. Anyways, looks like the 5.0 is very competitive again, took gearing and a massive boost in power under the curve compared to the outgoing 5.0, but it's there now and it's a beast. |

Bro you can do all the math and calculations you want and read wherever articles you want. My info isn't from books or calculations but from real street racing. The 2.7 is the quickest stock truck by a slight slight margin over the 3.5, then the 5.0. Modded the 3.5 is the fastest for $2k or less and the 5.0 is the fastest if you supercharge it. That's it. Argue amongst yourselves. I'm done.

sounds like its laying down a bit and fighting for rpm. Ill bet with the injectors and 7000 rpm shifting will will chop off another .6

4Hi. Press traction control once, press again and hold for 8 seconds. Sport mode. 4Hi. foot on the brake as hard as you can with as much accelerator pedal as you can without moving...on last yellow, let off the brake, GO Always go on the last yellow. I shut off 4hi at 40mph or so. |
Stock torque management won't really let you pull off the line hard enough to get a 1.8 60 ft, even with 4x4.

Went to the drag strip tonight. Best run of 14.662 @ 91.89mph. I think that’s the best this engine will run in this supercrew cab trim. I ran about 8 times and got 91mph trap speed every run, in 4x4. |

Sixty footer was 2.035. I’d like to see my trap speed in the 93mph range but I think it’s a weight issue with the truck being super crew cab. |

It was about 80 degrees and a little muggy out, I want to go back when it’s a cooler, dryer night and see if that improves my times. |

Around a 150 shot....but it isn’t yielding much more than the 125 shot - the engine is having breathing issues, and I was having either wheel hop or spin. I need to sort out the launch to hit 11’s, maybe a 2018 mustang intake is the way to go as well. Dodge Helcat was the other vehicle lol. |
