I’m considering either MPT or 5* for my 2017 3.5L, too. Do you guys have any input on how each tuner was able to improve throttle response and tuning the 10spd for 3.5? Reading their sites it briefly mentioned improved throttle response (as good as pedal commander?) and improved tuning for the 10spd but I’m hoping one of you can chime in with your experience.

Going to make on last call and then pull the trigger, does anyone have a number for Unleashed ? their website doesn't list one and i can't find one after searching.
I think it's torrie I need to talk with there ? is this just a one man band ?? seems to have good dyno results on his site at least...

Go with 5Statr or MPT, and you'll be happy. Both have great tunes. I went with MPT because I have met them in person. I do insurance inspections, and inspected the building they are located in for the landlord. Talked to them about tunes and vehicles for a while. Good peeps that answered all of my questions fast when I decided to tune my truck.

Unleashed and torrie are hands down the best customer service I’ve heard about. He tunes a lot of flex’s over on another website. I’ll buy from him when I decide to unleash the f-150 as well.

I don't have the same engine as you so I can t really speak to performance but I have been all in all more happy dealing with MPT than with 5star. Good luck with your decision.

I'v had both 5* & MPT on my last 5.0. The 93PRX from MPT seemed to perform better than the comparable tune from 5* at the time, about 2 years ago.
When I got the 3.5, I decided to stay with MPT and the 93PRX again. I can only go by their dyno sheet, might be less, might be more, I have no dyno available. Others have said the MPT figures are inflated, but have seen no sheets proving otherwise. Also depends on the dyno.
I wouldn't hesitate to go with either company, both of them had/have excellent customer service, you actually talk to the guy doing the tune, never a "salesman" with my experience.
On my 93PRX, all gears are utilized going up or down, shifting is greatly improved along with throttle response. MPT a couple months ago, said they were working with getting the "hang shift" taken care of when in "sport" mode.
Boost is up to 20psi per my nGauge.
The stock 3.5 has a lot of power, especially for a little engine, but my tunes turn it into a real screamer. Need better tires, or launch in 4X4.
I'm still around 19.3-19.7 combo driving.
The PRX is available for 91 as well. I also have the 93P/T tune, and the 87 trans tune only. As it is, I just leave the 93PRX in as a DD.
Unless you know Ford trucks, you'd never think anything was up with mine unless you look close. I've surprised quite a few people, LOL, I've noticed the hemi guys don't seem as aggressive as they were with my 5.0.

One thing that's nice with the 5-star tunes, is if you order through Stage 3 Motorsports you can get a 5 yr/60k miles powertrain warranty for only an additional $500. That's good piece of mind, plus it shows the confidence in the safety of their tunes. This is for a 5.0 not sure if it's the same deal for an EB.
