new to this board - Tuners? SSi/MPT/5Star ?
So was about to pull the trigger on a tune from SSI then read this board and got cold feet. I think i have it narrowed down to either MPT or 5Star, wanted a few thoughts from current users first.
2017 3.5 ecoboost, not sure what axle ratio I have but can find out. Looking for 2 tunes, both for 91 octane - a towing tune and performance tune- I live in denver and commute up the hill to Evergreen ( my house is at 8K feet)
MPT and 5 star look to be about the same and i think use the same tuner - Ngauge with HP tuner is that correct ? 5 star looks to be about $100 less.
If anyone has thoughts on tuners outside these two please feel free to make recommendations.
Thanks folks !!

Ssi if you want to blow your motor up. (also the fastest tune)
5 star for everything else.
5 star for everything else.

A friend of mine was running an SSI tune for about 3 hours before his motor popped. TX-RIPPER is going to push 5* pretty hard and I am going to push MPT pretty hard. At the end of the day those are your top two choices for good quality can tunes. I did however run a 12.7 @ 109 this past Saturday at my local track with an MPT PRX with trans tune. The only other aftermarket performance part I have added is a Borla system.

Do you have a different person you can recommend me to talk to ??
the folks at MPT seemed very cool and very helpful, answered all my questions etc. I view this as a long term relationship and if I have bad vibes going in.... won;t take the process any further. When i have to drag info out of a sales guy it's not good, like I said maybe he was having a bad day, very bad day.

Never heard of Ted/Tim, but if they treated me like that I would move on quick.
I deal with Chris in sales and the tuner Jacob.
Regarding mpt I’ve had a bad experience with them, namely the tune not making power
If you choose mpt make sure you dyno it and verify you are getting your moneys worth.
