Need helmet
I got mine on Amazon, a
Wasn't super expensive, fits well, and is nicely made for the price. Has a Snell rating and ships fast. They run a tad on the small side, so if you are on the upper end of a size its probably best to go one size up. This was something I'd use a few times a year at most so I didn't feel the need to splurge. But if you are are planning on lots of track time, then certainly spend more.
Probably depends on the track you're going to and if you're entering an event or just doing TnT..
I've personally never been asked or checked for helmets at any TnT i've ever been to.
If i'm not mistaken it should have a Snell SA2015 rating for auto racing. I personally use a motorcycle helmet which is Snell M2015 approved.
You may want to look into the tracks website if they have one. They usually post up the rules of what they require.
Some tracks are more relax than others. Really just depends..

i usually buy shoei helmets for my motorcycles .. but they are usually $500+ .. recently got a new motorcycle that's a totally different color from the old helmet .. picked up a barely used RF-1000 for $90
