Well I didn't know all the text disappeared when I loaded the pictures. I guess an explanation is in order.

80 to 75mm pulley swap
dyno tune
373 to 410 gear swap
long tube header install

First dyno pull (1/4 mile) netted a 12.18 at 109 before any work was done. Final transmission tuning will take place at the track as the truck can't shift from first to second quick enough on the dyno.

What type of headers did u go with?

rojizostang 12-11-2018 08:50 PM

Kooks 1 7/8 long tubes

Very nice, I went with Kooks also but at the time I didn't really know where I was going power wise with the truck so I went with the 1 3/4. I can't wait to see you hit the track. Your truck will be one of the fastest 12th gens around.

Did you get some power numbers?

No final numbers yet, however they were trending on the low side before the header install. I'm thinking about going to a little taller rear tire as they should help the transmission to be able to hit all the shift points on time.

I hope to talk to them today and go over all the details and see if there's anything left undone that needs to be addressed.

Also thinking about picking up an Ngauge.

Same here. Dyno' day 453/533 on e85 but running out of fuel. Going to get a new pump or boost a pump. And do some logging.

What throttle body are you using?

Stock GT500

We talked about a throttle body switch, however it was suggested that there are other/better places to spend money at this point. Matt and Tim both said their experience with throttle bodies on their dyno suggests the stock gt500 throttle body is good to at least 700rwhp before it becomes a restriction. Not to argue with anyone here on the forum, but these guys have been at it for a long time, so I went with their input. I"ll attach the dyno sheet in the next post so I don't lose all my text like I did in the first post.

The headers picked up 35rwhp and torque across the board. Preliminary numbers were 455/475. The final numbers are on the graph.
