Default Killer Chiller

Got this in a few days ago. Still waiting on the 12v 3-way bypass valve (so I can keep the Whipple heat exchanger in place) before tackling the install.
Install seems pretty straight forward. I'm thinking about mounting the KC right above the Whipple tank. Appears to be plenty of room for all of the hoses and fittings to get routed.

Anyone here have a KC installed? I'd be interested in a tips & tricks or pictures of how you mounted and routed everything.

My buddy has one on his mustang on a 2.3 whipple setup.

It makes exceptional power for being a little *** 2.3 blower.

I'm sure you can piece something together for about half the price. Honestly, i'm okay paying full price though since i've never done one before and there's really not much info out there for newer trucks. I'll be sure to post some pics once it's all said and done. I have a pretty good idea of how i'm going to do it. *knock on wood*

I just want those 140+ iat's to go down. I've seen a few mustangs running them. Really surprised the F150 guys haven't jumped on it yet. I've waited about a year for others to jump on board so I can have something to follow but nothing.

I never saw the point on a street truck, or at least on my truck which does not struggle with IAT's, but I am looking forward to your results. It'd be cool if you kept the stock Whipple heat exchanger in the loop, as I'd like to see a before and after pass to pass.

if it's 100 outside, his after blower temps are seriously below ambient with it.

If it's like 30 outside, his blower temps are legit freezing.

Well, i'm still waiting on the bypass valve but I decided to go ahead and start the installation process.
Mostly wanted to get the a/c part out of the way since it would be easy enough to tie in the valve to the coolant side later either way.

Anyways, I've encountered my first issue with the kit. The fittings that were provided to tap into the a/c do not properly fit the stock suction line (fittings are too small and don't provide a snug fit).
I immediately called Kincaid and he mentioned Ford uses two different size suction lines for whatever reason and that he will send me the correct ones.
Ofcourse, I had already cut the line so I went ahead and installed the smaller fittings anyways just to button up the a/c side. It would not hold vacuum and I could feel it leaking from those suction fitting connections.

So for now I wait until the correct fittings come in.

That's sucks...(Bad choice of words) Thanks for being the pioneer on this for the F150. I've seen now they have special welded tubes for the Mustang. Its actually a modified OE lines. I wish he offered those for the trucks too. Here is screen capture of the modified line from the video linked below.
