a weep hole is a boost leak, plain and simple.

All those folks drilling holes in their intercoolers on gen 1 3.5EBs were just creating boost leaks. Stupid. There were other ways to deal with the condensation issues they had.

I went CVF and love it. Excellent results.
the weephole in the moshimoto has a plug,
You just unscrew it when you want to empty whatever is in there

I can say I have personally seen a few OEM intercoolers pulled off of second gen 3.5 eco-boost and a couple 1st gen 2.7 and seen a decent amount of crud in their intercoolers.
All depends on your climate.

The weephole with a removable plug would be a feature I would like.

Only ask because I know a few people, a couple of my friends, that run the moshimoto and have been very happy. I just don’t know anyone personally who runs the Titan, I’ve seen peoples reviews but no one that I actually know.

Hell when they open up travel again let me know we can arrange a get together. Then you will know someone who has a CVF. KM

I did data testing between stock and the CVF and the data alone sold me. Especially being in FL and working my truck...well...like a truck. tow a 30' travel trailer, haul gravel, sand, dirt all the time in the bed, running 35's and a tune.

The wagner is expensive because it is truly the best one. I know you've always expressed your opinion very bluntly and matter o factly but the fact remains.

Wagner is absolutely the best intercooler. I didn't have many options when i first looked, but i wouldn't call the CVF Titan better in any way, it's a compromise for price.

The CVF will be as good or better than any other IC that fits directly into the OEM location without issues, barring the difference that it has a thicker core than some others.

My guess is that unless your trying to set a “record” the compromise is worth the cost savings.

Back when I had the full race front mount I learned that having then lowest iat2s on the planet netted me very little and there was a down side to covering the radiator and having to cut the truck up to plumb it.

Also back then there wasn’t a good stock location replacement.

I chose the Whipple as it was the best balance of the things I wanted and cost.

cvf looks like a direct Whipple knock off, so if you can get it for $500.

Take the money and run

There were zero direct replacements when i was looking

whipple, cvf, mishimoto, all of them didn't exist. Just wagner and full race.

Did it hurt to spend 950 bucks on it? I guess. But i know i still have one of the best IC's for these ecoboosts period.

It also has the least pressure drop.

I am interested in your pressure drop statement, as more than likely each manufacturer measures this differently. What is the difference in drop between the CVF and Wagner if measured b2b in the same testing conditions?
