Default IAT Sensor Modifications

I’m aware the MAF sensor also houses the IAT sensor on the 2011 f150s. I need them separated…

I’ll be running a water-to-air intercooler that will be directly mounted to the lower intake. So in order to get correct air temps I’ll need to install an aftermarket IAT after the intercooler.

Is this possible? I was thinking, if I know which pin outs on the connectors are for the IAT I could splice into those for the aftermarket IAT sensor.

The MAF sensor has 4 pins. I’m guessing 2 for the MAF and 2 for the IAT. But I’m not sure which ones. Or is it more to it? Am I treading into standalone ECU waters?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

VMP sells a IAT harness for separating them(others may too), search for VMP-MAF-IAT-11-14. I was just looking at one to relocate the sensor after my water/meth.

Is the intercooler going between the throttlebody and MAF sensor in like a procharger/turbo app? Or is this a regular blower setup with a whole manifold setup? A blower setup should include the IAT2 harness to wire in

I’ll be doing either a procharger or turbo. And a Holley intake with a tick intercooler. I’ll have a custom adapter plate that will house the IAT sensor

What manifold are you going to use for the base to put that on? Holley doesn't make those for the coyote

It’ll be a one off CNC adapter plate to allow for a Holley ram intake

Ok, that should be pretty sick. Back to your original question, look at install videos of VMP blowers as an example. They have some stuff on 11-14. They use an IAT2 vs just IAT. They actually log both pre and post blower IATs as part of the tuning process, I don't see how this application would really differ from that and it's a capability built into the factory PCM
