Crazy power from the 2.7L Ecoboost on E30

Now to see just how well Ford built the rest of the engine. How many miles will it hold up.

That's crazy HP from a 2.7L.

Interesting video about tuning a 2.3 EB Ranger also. If the Ranger had come out a couple of years earlier, I may have chosen that instead of the 150.

Welp, interested in what the 3.5 can make with bigger turbos because i've already seen them make 530 whp on stock turbos lol.

Exactly my thoughts. It also makes me wonder why you would buy a 2.7 and drop $5000+ on mods to make it as fast as a tune only 3.5 on E30. It's a great motor, don't get me wrong, but it wouldn't be my choice if I was chasing HP.

it gets better mileage than the 35 best of both worlds ... there is cheaper ways to do it too ... 93 octane today made 465 hp ..485 tq you could get by with just turbos on 93 ... stock everything else... dont get me wrong like the 3.5L but it dont get the mileage the 2.7 does

What the dude said, was (paraphrasing here) why get a 2.7 if you're chasing hp? Common sense dictates that if you were to do the same mods on the bigger 3.5, you'd get more hp-no replacement for displacement-
It also dictates that the amount of fuel needed to support 500+hp would negate any advantage the 2.7 had over the 3.5 in stock form, but you'd be a fool to be concerned about mileage after sinking all that money on those mods anyway. If you had any brains, you'd be more concerned about your bottom end, 'cuz you're gonna be needing a new one soon if you use all that boost on a regular basis

Yeah....I'm not sure anyone buying a full size truck is doing so with the intent of dropping $5k+ on upgraded turbos and supporting mods to make 500whp, then is concerned about fuel economy. Especially running e30.

Great numbers nonetheless, and a sleeper...…….but that's a lot of extra coin.

Why not swap on Raptor turbos for a low-buck upgrade to the 2.7 and see what those do?
