Default On The Fly Tuner?

Hey Guys- New to the forum, and have done a few searches, and searched may websites and havent found a straight answer...

I have a 2015 2.7 Eco that I am in the process of making some mods to.

Do any Tuner Manufacturers have on the fly tunes? Say I want to hook up to my enclosed trailer, do I need to plug in my tuner and go through the whole step by step process to change from a 89 eco tune to a 89 tow tune? Ive looked at several tuners with touch screens and all that, but none really say if I can pull up to a stop light, and switch from an eco tune to a performance tune, or switch to a tow tune mid tank without taking several minutes to adjust tunes? (examples)

I am very new to all of this, and tried to get a little help on the facebook page, but with no results...

Also, if any of you have any brand recommendations feel free to post them! Not looking to do anything too crazy which will effect the longevity of the truck, but if I can gain a couple MPG in eco, and tow a trailer better, (or smoke my buddies in a race), I would like to possibly get one!

No, not that I'm aware of.
There are some tuners who can change various settings between sport/normal modes, and that might do what you need.

typically tune on the fly changes only work with Diesel trucks to my knowledge, but i think i remember Brew City Boost coming out with something that would work for our gas applications. check them out on IG or the interwebs.

Thanks for the info! I know diesel trucks have that option, I just wasnt sure if they had such a thing for Gas Trucks. Ill do some more digging, and probably contact the main tuner manufacturers and see if they have any insight to what will suit my application best.

Economy tunes are not worth it anyway. Don't bother. Just focus on the Performance/Towing tune in whatever octane you like. Since you have the 2.7, look at 5star or MPT.

That should help.

You need to look for a tuner that does self adjusting octane. Gearhead comes to mind as one. I believe there is at least one more for the ecos.

With my BDX tuner and 5* tunes I'm able to switch between tunes without going back to stock first. Example: if I'm currently running a 93 Performance tune and want to change it to 93 Perf/Tow I can do it without changing back to stock then loading the 93 Perf/Tow. I hope that answers your question.

I think the Cobb Accessport is the only tuner that can change tunes on the fly, but it's only available for the Raptor. Not sure if they have plans to bring it down to the rest of the F150 line, but it would be nice.

I think he is talking about a tune that can switch immediately without flashing. Like on the diesel trucks where the have a rotary dial and can switch between 5 levels of awesome while driving down the road.
