If I was going to add a supercharger I'd put one on the truck I have now. I own a 392 challenger with some work done to it so I'm not looking to build a racecar here just simply looking to purchase a new truck. And why not buy the fastest one you can get esp because I don't haul much? I was looking up numbers on these three engines and they're all over the place. I've seen 5.0s from as fast as 13.2 stock all the way to high 14s. I wouldn't imagine a truck with the same hp as the one I have now to run slower then mine weighing 600lbs less and having 2 extra gears. By my research it looks as if a 5.0 Supercab should be in the high 13s stock. I was on an a couple ecoboost forums and they're obviously biased towards the turbo engines posting stock times as fast as mid 13s with both engines. And with tuners both engines in the high 12s. It seems that all 3 engines have pros and cons. Although mid 13s in a stock truck is very fast, I don't don't see how the 2.7 will outlast the durability of a 5.0 especially by squeezing everything out of it with a tuner. On the other hand I saw that they put the 3.5 into the Ford GT so it must be built to hold up to some serious power. What gets me is stock vs stock the bigger ecoboost should blow the smaller one away having 50 more hp and ftlbs of torque. The fact it doesn't and the amount of money you save going with the 2.7 makes it very appealing. As far as the 5.0, it def sounds the best, it pulls the hardest up top and has been around the longest. It seems as if all 3 engines will run 13s stock and it comes down to a matter of choice on what you prefer. All 3 engines will smoke a stock GM or Ram truck, that's for sure. I'll tell what's sick, the new gt mustangs with a 10spd auto will run 11.7 bone stock. And you can get one for around $30k. This is only a few ticks behind a hellcat for less than half the price. However to have a full size supercab 4x4 truck that you can buy for $30k if you shop around and run 12s if you throw on a couple hundred dollar tuner is remarkable.

If you aren’t going to supercharge the 5.0 liter,I’d skip it ,don’t think you’ll be happy with the overal power of it NA unless it’s in a lightweight reg cab truck. If your willing to do a charger the 5.0 is the king....otherwise I’d go with the 3.5 Ecoboost if you are tuning it.if your leaving it alone the 2.7 is just as quick but doesn’t gain nearly as much with a tune as a 3.5. The 3.5 has been around the longest of the 3 engines not the 5.0, The 3.5 and 5.0 are both good engines and have proven themselves to be durable and reliable. The 2.7 just hasn’t been out long .

Have you driven an Omega tuned 13th gen 5.0 with e85? I doubt it. I do, everyday and the power is more than enough.
