I am going to switch to a ford after getting beat in my ram everytime i run one. i have a 2017 hemi tuned with intake quadcab 4x4 and my best run is 14.5 at 96 mph. aq guy i know smoked me in a little 2.7 so i went and test drove all 3 engines. the v8 def pulls hard when it revs but the turbo engines both felt faster . to be honest the little one felt the fastest out of the bunch and its the cheapest. i plan to do an intake, tuner and maybe exhaust. which one is the fastest?

 

 

The 5.0 is fastest

 

"Cheap" and Fast = 3.5 EB, E50 Tune, Intake/Exhaust

Not Cheap but Faster = 5.0 plus boost

 

im looking at a supercab 4x4. if i go with the 5.0 what kind of number can you expect stock and with a tuner/exhaust/cai?

 

what kind of numbers can you get out of a 3.5 with a tuner? i take that as don't buy the 2.7?

The 5.0 will make more power then the 3.5EB but it will take considerable more money to get it out. 5Star tuning can get you over 450HP and 500ft lb of torque at the rear wheels of a 3.5EB on 93 octane and more if you want to run their E30-E50 tunes.

If you don't plan on tuning it the 2.7 is a runner. If you plan on tuning it you will get more out of the 3.5 eco. If you add boost to the 5.0 it will be the fastest.

Speed is just a question of money. How fast do you want to go!
