How solidly does the screen attach to the keypad? It seems that launching gforces might shake it loose. I installed a laptop mount so I don't have to worry about it flying off the passenger seat. Yes I realize I already have a laptop, however the resolution with this one is just marginal(for datalogging), aside from the fact that it's kind of clunky and heavy being a 15" screen. This one is several years old and has only the I5 processor (I think that's what it is)
Held magnetically, but very secure. Have used mine strapped to the center set cushion on my 60-40 split bench.KM
Think i'll still to a full fledged laptop without an intel atom in it. Don't think i could stomach paying 200 bucks for a device that terrible. To be fair... i use my laptop for not just tuning my own vehicle.
That thing if i setup onedrive to sync my tuning folder... it would fill up that 32gb harddrive...

Sounds like rojizostang just wants something usable and affordable that he can keep in his truck. Something he doesn't have to worry about dragging around all of the time.
It will work just fine for his needs. No need to pay for high end laptop if he's not using it as one. And, for it to be considered old technology in a few years lol. Gotta love Moore's Law!
@rojizostang I definitely recommend backing up your important files/tunes somewhere whether it's in the cloud or on a usb stick.
Yeah it's fine. I just wouldn't own a device like that and that's ok, i'd get a regular laptop before i'd get that. Can guarantee logging many PID's and creating graphs for some of the stuff i do it would kill itself and the battery life isn't really very good considering it's an ultra low power device.

I just use mine for Forscan and OBD2 monitors, data-logs done with the GTX are stored internally and sent via wi-fi to Derive and LiveLink. I do use a 256gb chip in it to load programs and provide storage. But most time it's in my garage steaming music. I would not try to do photo-processing with it. For a Atom processor it's pretty quick.KM
PS: I failed to mention it uses a USB type C port. I had adapters hubs and cords but the are fairly new possibly uncommon. km

well for someone like me who isn't IT literate...hopefully it's good enough. I intend to use it merely for datalogging. I can transfer the logs to the main laptop, if I want to keep them. Mostly I would probably forward them to someone who understands what the logs actually mean, lol.

well I'm depending on you to steer me in the right direction for the cables needed, lol.
