Default Belt help

I lost my damn notes on the Gates HD belt PN for a Whipple with 6 rib 3.5" pulley. I just spent an hour looking on here because I know I posted it here for someone else but I can't find it again. Anyone know?

not exactly what you asked for, but here's what I used to find a gates rpm belt for my tvs blower

http://www.gatesracing.com/assets/Ga...st%20LORES.pdf

I don't know anything about the HD belts, but supposedly the rpm belts were designed for supercharged applications, from what I've read

I don't have it for a 3.5, only a 3.75 and 3.625. Did you buy it online? Rock Auto and Amazon keeps your purchase recorded for forever, I've used that method to bail me out a couple times.

No...I just took the PN for the belt I had and added HD at the end and had my local parts store order it.
The 3.625 PN should work though if you have that.

You got me thinking...so I called the store I ordered it from. They pulled up my rewards account and found it in 2 seconds. I’ll have it tonight. I still don’t know the PN but I’ll write it down again tonight. lol

Preventative maintenance or did something happen to your belt?

Preventative. It’s looking a little slick...don’t need it to start slipping.

Is the Whipple like the TVS blowers, in that it mounts the boost belt closest to the engines front cover on the crank pulley? I bought a replacement for my truck, and stopped dead cold when I saw I had to swap the other belt off before I could access the blower belt on my TVS. That first belt looks like a stretch to fit deal, and I hate those things

I thought ours are the same after you swapped out the damper and the ac pulley. If it is, the outer belt is simple. Literally 10 minutes to replace. The blower belt however is a different story. I learned how to do it by myself, but it's a massive pain and takes about an hour. Two guys could knock it out much easier. One working from the top and one from the bottom. That's why I only carry a
spare water pump/alternator belt cause that's what needs to be replaced to make it home if both belts disentegrate like mine have before. There's no way I would tackle the blower belt on the side of the road.

I think on the whipples the boost belt is closest to the radiator and much easier to change?

Yea...it takes longer to pull off the intake tube to get access than it does to change the belt.
