I did...not for noise but for longevity. Heims on anything wear out fast. I bought 3/4 x 16 thread x 2” wide joints.

I saw your response in this thread. I called Stifflers today and got the same response. I've got a 2019 F150 5.0L Roush truck. Do you happen to know which Stifflers model I would need to order which would fit my truck? From what I'm reading, Stifflers are far superior to VAS?

Thanks,

BDS markets their products to big lifted trucks who need most of the axle wrap issues resolved without ruining ride comfort. Just gonna squash this bad info right here. I've been using the BDS Recoils for a couple of months now and they work perfectly. Yes, they have springs in them because they are ADJUSTABLE. And the adjustability works beautifully. The springs can be maxed out to provide a solid link between the axle and frame allowing ZERO axle wrap...which how I usually have them during the week to and from work. When I go on long drives with the family I loosen them up to get that quality ride from my ICONs (sway bars also disconnected, of course) and I love it. I only have a 2˝ level lift and I don't have to jack up the truck to adjust them. The only gripes I have is the "wrenches" aren't a perfect fit but still do the job. I definitely need a breaker bar to tighten them up because you don't get enough leverage with the wrenches alone. But that's about it. Being able to adjust the bars is definitely worth the extra money. When you get the bars in you'll see that they are high quality and solid construction. As far as installation goes, if I had to do it again, I would use regular titanium drill bits (up to the 11/16ths required) instead of the step drill bit that's recommended. Also, the rivet nut "tool" that was provided was the only disappointment with the whole thing. The nut didn't even fit onto the bolt in order to crush the rivet nut. I had to go find the proper hardware to make it work. Doing it this way, though, is fairly difficult as the rivet nuts are 1/2". Having an actual rivet nut tool would've made this so much easier I imagine, but the nut/bolt/lock washer is still doable.

Nothing I said was bad info...BDS' own marketing touts their improved ride comfort over solid bars, but that comes at their effectiveness because to gain that good ride they deflect. It is good to know that one can effectively make them a solid bar, that I did not know, so thank you for providing that info. However there is no free lunch...so if one wants a good ride then they loose a solid bar and vice versa. However I've been running solid bars for the last 25k miles and they ride great, even with rod ends on both mounts. I think the ride comfort aspect isn't that big a concern as long as everything fits tight and doesn't clunk.

Hudman,,,,,,,, do you know how much ground clearance is with the BWoody kit installed? Does anybody have any pics of the Bwoody kit installed with a Belltech bracket? While i do have a Belltech flip kit, i opted for the front relocation so the rear is only 4" lower instead of the 5.5" scrape on the road, re-fab the rear exhaust.

awgeez, have not installed yet, my truck sits stock height minus rear blocks that I pulled. I would call BWoody and talk to them.
