Default Anyone running the BDS Recoil Traction Bars

Just checking in to see some input from anyone running these? I would be interested in running these if they would help improve my 60ft times. If so i will purchase these and post acceleration improvements. Just don't wanna drop 1k for them not to work.

A grand for traction bars is insane. Stifflers, VAS, Caltracs, etc all work great and are substantially cheaper.

I can vouch for the VAS traction bars. They completely eliminated the leaf spring wrap I was getting. In addition, what's good about the VAS bars is that the springs don't have to be removed and the bushings knocked out and replaced like on the Caltracs.

BDS bars have springs in them which allow some deflection. Sorta defeats the purpose of traction bars in the first place, as they still allow some axle wrap. I'm sure they have less NVH then a traditional traction bar with hard bushings, but they would also be less effective. BDS markets their products to big lifted trucks who need most of the axle wrap issues resolved without ruining ride comfort. If you are looking to reduce 60fts, get something with a more proven record.

Went to Stifflers website and it does not show a fitment for the 2015 and newer trucks. Plus do they make them for 6 inch lifted truck?

The Stifflers bars for the 2015+ are to be released this Xmas season, from what I was told when I emailed Stifflers. Otherwise the 2014 bars will fit with some modifications from what I understand.

11-14 bars work on 15-18 trucks...you just have to drill one more hole in the frame per side than the older trucks. Stifflers has known this for years and for some reason still keeps telling people they’re “coming soon”.

I can't recommend CalTrac, they rattle like crazy, plus they are a PITA to install because you need to press the bushing out of the spring and replace it with their supplied solid bushing.

I should have listened to Unbroken and gone with Stifflers, and will on round 2.

Unbroken, did you replace the stock heim joints on your stiffler bars with Johnny Joints? I remember you saying that somewhere. Were the stock joints noisy? What size Johnny joints did you use?
