X plan question ?
First off excuse my ignorance , first time shopping for a domestic pickup. I have X plan at work and was wondering , can I use X plan and THEN any additional rebates , incentives . I've been told you can get the same or better deal without mentioning X plan
Willing or not... they're bound by an agreement with Ford to do so. X-Plan price PLUS ALL Incentives, rebates, Customer Cash(coupons in mailed brochures) and finance rates apply. It's a good deal. It's what I did.

You don't deduct anything. Smart Vincent printout shows all AVAILABLE rebates. Some are NOT included: college grad/military/AQHA/experimental aircraft assn...
Dealers can decline to participate in X-plan, but nearly all participate.

I understood. The points I was making were:
- You do NOT get all incentives with X-Plan. There are incentives, including but not limited to the Recent College Graduate rebate, the Military Rebate and others that apply to specific groups but cannot be combined with X-Plan.
- There is no reason to figure them out ahead of time. The Smart Vincent report that can be produced by every dealer lists the X-Plan price (also A/Z, D, invoice...) as well as every rebate that the vehicle qualifies for.
Any dealer that participates in X-Plan (and nearly all do) must then do X-Plan on every vehicle that qualifies (Raptor does not), and must not charge more than $100 for paperwork, and must not give anything of value above what is given to any other car buyer (and must be limited to $50 or less in retail value - not dealer cost). So, not only get the dealer not throw in a bedliner, the X-Plan customer must refuse the bedliner if the dealer offers.
All X-Plan deals are audited by Ford, so if the dealer makes a mistake in their favor it is very likely to be caught by Ford and the buyer will get a check.
For X-Plan eligibility acquired by joining an organization, a 60 day membership is required and is supposed to be checked.

Yes, you can beat X-Plan. You cannot beat walking in a dealership, taking a test drive, and saying "I want to buy it." No haggling, no games, no "let me see what my manager says". Simple and done. I have purchased two vehicles via X-Plan, and would buy my next vehicle the same way (unless I qualify for A-Plan at time of purchase like I do now).

X-plan allows you to skip the negotiation phase and get a truck around invoice price, less eligible incentives. It won't get you the best deal, but it will get you better than many. If you have patience and the will to negotiate, you can probably get a more lucrative deal.
