Default What you guys run for rear end oil and weight?

Im looking at changing mine here soon. Wondering what you guys prefer to run in the rear end. I was thinking Royal Purple. 75-w90 or w140. Just didnt know what the best is out there for these pickups.

thanks

I have 3:73 limited slip in my rear. Used royal purple 75 140 in rear and royal purple 75 90 in front. My rear held just under 3 quarts and front held 2.

75/140 is now the new requirement for your year rear end. If you have a LS then add 4oz of friction modifier. When it comes to gear oil I like Amsoil but any quality oil will do.

AMSOIL Severe Gear is compatible with most limited-slip differentials. If limited-slip differential chatter occurs, add AMSOIL Slip-Lock™ friction modifier additive.

SEVERE GEARŽ Synthetic Extreme Pressure (EP) Gear Lube 75W-140 (SVO)
Formulated for the severe operating conditions of today’s pick-up trucks, SUVs, heavy equipment and other hard working vehicles.
