Default Weird fuse Issue

I have a very strange issue. I have a fuse that pops on a regular basis (fuse 14). That’s not the strange part though. It only pops in the morning, once I change the fuse it will be good to go until the next morning when it will pop again as soon as I start it up. Anyone else had a similar issue?

Question

You have a short somewhere or a component drawing excessive current.. A fuse really should last the life of the vehicle if the circuit is good. That's about all I can offer with the little information you provided.

I have an 06 FX4 and it only happens early in the morning. I can change the fuse during the day and it will be good all day long then the next morning it goes into Groundhog Day. If the weather cooperates I’m going to check the wiring for my lights as that’s the only thing I can see that would be different from early morning to regular daytime.

Is this fuse 14 in the under hood fuse box or in inside cab fuse box?

What year is the truck? Which panel? What circuit does #14 feed? The more info you give, the more/more relevant responses you'll get.

My first suspect would be the 7-pin socket under the bumper. Also you might try unplugging the PCV heater.

can you post an update on this, especially if you changed out your pcv heater? Any issues with pcv heater replacement ?

sorry, I thought I had updated it. It was the PCV Heater, I unplugged it and it magically stopped blowing the fuse. I ordered a new one but the one they sent had the wrong connector so I’m still waiting on the correct one.
