Default Vibration during acceleration

1998 F150 w/ 4.2, 5 speed, idles normally, but when pulling away, entire driveline harshly vibrates through rpm range, but still responds to any throttle changes, haven't gone to shop yet, just trying to see if anyone has had similar problem, would rather try to fix it myself. I just brought it home and looking for ideas. Assuming its not simple tuneup issues...and I am not an experienced mechanic, so I hope this isnt a stupid question.
