I have a 1999 V10 in my motorhome and this summer on a very hot day the engine suddenly idled up to redline.I cut the engine,sat for a few minutes and restarted put in dr. and took off.
All was well until I was in city traffic and the rpm's started to climb--I had to hold the brake to keep from running away.
Pulled over and let the engine cool down and restarted--was out on the highway shortly and by now it's later in the day and cooler--got home ok and the problem has not recurred in cooler weather.
Any ideas? Thanks for your input.
