Transmission / Shuddering
2016 XLT.
V 8 5.0L 6 -speed
41,000 miles
If I gently give it the gas then between 2 and 3, 3 and 4, and 4 and 5, sometimes there's a "shuddering" or a hesitation. I can see that gear changes on the dash, but the truck just hesitates a bit.
Never had the transmission flushed, so wondering if that can fix it. If I drive it hard and really give it the gas, then it's fine. But, I live in suburbia, and well, you can't exactly always give it the gas.
Any other thoughts / anyone else have similar issue? Thanks.

OK, so not to beat a dead horse. But, I have a 2016 F150 XLT 5.0 4X4 with 6 speed trans. I live in Fla. but my family lives in the mountains of KY. Long story short when I go see them my transmission makes a hard SQUALK sound when down shifting on an incline. I have had my truck at the dealer 3+ times for this. But since I live in Fla. they cannot replicate the issue. So it has never been fixed. The truck is still under the transmission warranty for now. Any advise?
I cannot understand why Ford would say that is ok. The truck at the time was only under its own weight. If I was pushing the limits of towing...maybe.
No way this is "normal"..
Plus there are all types of service calls on this transmission in other models of the same years.

I agree with you. I think it's ridiculous. I've read on another thread that it could be the torque converter locking up, and that itself is also normal. I find that ridiculous for that to be considered normal, too. Maybe different people have different definitions of what normal is than I do. I'm having a buddy of mine, whose a mechanic, drive it next week (he's putting on new rims / tires), so I'm going to see what he says.
