Default Transmission problems

So i recently bought a 14 ecoboost 4x4 and im starting to have some issues. Mainly while driving down the road cruising it seems like it is comming out of gear and back in. Does it every 10 to 20 seconds. The rpms will increase 50 to 100 but then go back to what it was cruising. Under hard wot it doesnt seems to do it at all. It doesnt matter if im in od or manual gear select just does it. Any help would be appreciated thanks guys!

What engine and transmission? Any recent parts replacements?

Take it to Autozone or other and get your codes run for free. Don't buy anything based on the Autozone recommendations until you report back to this Forum with the code numbers. Folks on this forum will save you money.

Sounds like the torque converter clutch engaging and disengaging.

Might be completely normal behavior... or not. You'd have to monitor what the computer is both seeing and doing to determine if it's a problem or not. "Codes" are only registered if the computer isn't happy about something that it can test.
