Default Transfer case

I came here to see if I could get some advice, I put the truck in four hi , or four low and everything works and sounds fine. When i drop it back down into 2wd and start driving from about 50 km/ hr plus , it sounds like a noise a wheel earring would make and a little bit rough on the pedal at times, any ideas before I pull a second mortgage to get it looked at lol
