Default TPMS Censors

I just ordered new rims for my truck. A 2011 screw.I'm putting a leveling kit and bigger tires. What do I have to do about TPMS ? Get new ones or can I use the old ones ? Any info. would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

You can use your old sensors but you will need new bands. The factory bands (which hold the sensor on the wheel) are crimped and cannot be reused. The new sensors look like large screw clamps and can be reused. I believe they are around $35 each from the dealer.

Ford makes stem mounted replacements for the band design, I run them on my 2007 cobra.. They work the same just easier to work with..

2011 should have vavle stem type TPMS system. the sensors are bolted to the vavle stem with a small torx head bolt, you'll have to buy a 4 pack of valve stems (should come with new small torx head bolt, they say not to reuse) install valve stems on your new rims and bolt your TPMS sensors to them and you are done!!
