Default Throttle issue. Bad idle.

Hey first time posting on here. I have a 2014 F150 XLT 5.0L.
It was my daily driver until a month ago then I got a smaller car and the truck sat but I still drive it at least once a week to keep it going. I went out last weekend to drive it and immediately the yellow wrench for power train was on. Fuel light was on too. I limped it a mile to gas station. I put in 5 gallons and still fuel light was on. I got my scanner out and no codes at all. My buddy works for FORD as a master mechanic, he said probably throttle body. I replaced throttle body and still no change. I drove it 5 days prior with no problems at all. Any advice would be great. I'm wondering if the PCM or accelerator pedal position sensor? The throttle position sensor is attached to the throttle body on these correct? And yes I disconnected battery before unplugging throttle body.

SO what is the current issue? Light still on and truck only runs in limp mode? Was it a new Ford throttle body or a rebuilt or a third party? Did you run the new throttle body thru the startup procedure? I would go after your "master mechanic friend" for making a "throw parts at it assessment" without seeing it or putting it on a Ford ID system!

Wrench light is still on, fuel light is still on. It was a used throttle body to try and save some money. You'll have to clarify the startup procedure for the new throttle body. Thanks

I disconnected the negative terminal and jumped them like it said. Wrench light and fuel light immediately come on still. No change.

Do you recommend splicing the wires? Or would I affect continuity.

No expert here, but all we did was a light solder and heat shrink.
