Default steering wheel (long post)

okay, my truck is a daily driver and also a play truck.
Friday afternoon i went out to the fields with some buddies to get a little dirty. i succeded in getting my self buried in mud up to my door, and im lifted 2" all around on 31'' tires.

Truck is a 1993 F150 Flareside 5.8L 4x4.

Problem: when i was stuck the steering wheel got forced into one direction, it still holds the alignment and drives perfect. while i crossed the bayou i hit a rather jolting bump.

My steering wheel seems loose and grinds sometimes. its just a wheel thing because the shaft itself is fine and the column is still tight and doesn't wiggle.

What should i do to get the wheel tightened back up so its back to somewhat normal or should i go about replacing the wheel?

You'll have to pull the wheel and inspect the shaft where the wheel bolts on. After my accident my truck still drove straight but the wheel was crooked. The steering box was tweaked and I had to change it. Make sure when the wheel is straight the pitman arm is straight too.

I can't get a picture right now. The pitman arm should point straight forward with the wheel straight.
