Default steering column

so the bushing/bearings in the steering column (inside cab) is seems to be worn pretty good, i can move the steering wheel up down, side to side about a half inch.

Its a 98 f150 and was wondering if there is any guides on how to fix it? i never took apart a steering column so this will be new to me.

Also should i replace the shaft that's in there too?

are these the parts i need to fix this problem? click here

What would happen if i just keep driving it like this? (just wondering)
