I have changed the starter solenoid I i have changed the starter out and my starter is just spinning without engaging the engine any ideas?

I forgot to mention i started the truck about three times and the fourth is went it just started spinning I checked the wiring on the solenoid its correct and so is the wiring on the starter I'm just stuck on what to do
