Default Squeaking noise, I think from the drive shaft...

Wondering if anyone can help me. I've been getting a squeaking noise that starts after about 2 minutes of driving. Almost sounds like a slipping belt, but coming from the rear. It stops when I let of the gas then starts again and increases in intensity the further I push on the gas pedal. I got under the truck today and saw this on the drive shaft. Don't think the shiny silver part is supposed to look like that, but not for sure. Any help would be great. Also it's a 2007 f150 stx 4x4... thanks for the help.

That is called a universal joint and probably needs replaced.

Myself, I would have changed out the one at the other end. Can't be far behind the spent one and I hope you indexed everything before removing to prevent a misbalance situation with your driveshaft.
