I did it to my truck once and after I did it I did some more reading on the stuff and it turns out there are more cons than pros to it. It tends to burn and ruin o2 sensors.

I have never used seafoam, the only people i know that use it and swear by it drive rattle traps that barely run. If your looking for a fuel sytem cleaner i highly recomend lucas fuel treatment, it comes in gallon, quart and i belive lil 8oz bottles. I add it to my tank ever time i change my oil its worked great and never burnt a o2 sensors.

I have used it in 4 vehicles. I have put it in theFuel tank, oil tank, and directly into upper intake via the vaccuum line from the brakes. If you youtube Seafoam you will see various videos about how to suck it into the intake. Its an interesting thing to watch happen in front of you. While I'll stop short of saying 'I swear by it' I didnt notice any negative effects or O2 sensor problems. In my Gfs honda and my buick, neither are junkers, just milers, it smoothed out the idle nicely. In my 03 scab, i did it shortly before I changed the fuel filter and oil, and the truck is running like new.

I'll probablly use it before the next oil changes in my cars again
