Ive used seafoam many times and its supposed to clean the carbon off of the valves and clean out the cylinders. If you have high miles and put it in it should smoke like crazy at startup after you put it in, its really fun to do. After about 10-15 min if it running the smoke will clear. I got alot more throttle response outta using it.

Is there any point of using this on a vehicle with 20k miles?

I have used it on my Jeep with 100k miles and my F150 with 134k miles. And you can tell the difference after you use it. Alot better response on the throttle and it does smoke like crazy. I don't think you would need it on your truck with only 20k miles.

The seafoam your talking about do you add it in with the gas or directly inject it into the motor

I have never heard of it eating up gaskets or anything of that nature. I have used it several times. I just did my truck again yesterday.

To use it just turn on your motor and then disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose. This hose run directly into your throttle body. Stick this hose in the bottle and let it suck up about 1/3 of the can. Be sure to rev up your engine as your doing this or it will bog down. when you are about done let the engine idle and it will bog down from the sea foam. This is ok. If not then turn the engine off and wait about 5-10 minutes then start it up. It will smoke like crazy but this is normal. It is just cleaning your internals. Drive around the neighborhood after you turn it on the get rid of all the smoke after about 5-10 minutes it will clear up. You should notice better accellerator response. Any questions just ask.

great in the crank case too BTW. cleans out any deposits, frees sticking valves, and can help collapsed lifters if they're not too far gone. I personally dump it in about 500 miles before an oil change just to clean things up.
