Default Rear breaks

Hey all I have 2010 f150 and I had new breaks and everything put on my rear but I was wondering how to tighten up my break lines since they no longer hold my truck in place

thanks!

I think you mean your parking brake (not break) is not functioning well?
Tightening a brake line would mean making the hydraulic line fitting tighter. I don't think that is what you are doing.

I'd suggest returning to the auto shop to ask them to adjust your parking brake for you -seems like they didn't do a proper adjustment during the brake job.

Did they replace the rotors or just the pads? The parking brake is shoes inside of a drum which is part of the rear rotors.
It’s pretty common for the parking brake actuators to freeze up from corrosion. Usually on trucks that the parking brake doesn’t get used enough. It’s possible that yours are starting to hang up and not fully engage the shoes to the drum.

I guess I'd wonder what they meant by "tighten up the line"

Maybe they mean the 'cable'? The parking brake cable may be out of adjustment.
I don't know/remember how to adjust them on that type of brake though.
Best guess is that it is similar to a drum brake that would need to be adjusted from the brake itself, once rotor is removed.
It's a guess at this point though.

When I hear 'brake line" I think of hydraulic hoses. If one would tight it, it would because fluid was leaking out. If that is true, then brakes don't work. ha
