radio trouble

Default radio trouble

i have an 02 crew lariat with 6 disc changer in the console. while driving, thi lights in the radio will cut out randomly like it has a loose connection, but the music never stops playing. any ideas?

If the radio's front panel is removable, the problem probably can be solved by cleaning it's contacts with pure alcohol.

i pulled the head unit out of the dash and all of the wires in the harness are tight and the harness itself fits in the radio good. all of the connections were clean with no corrosion. i cant find a way to take the face off, so i might just wait until it dies and go buy an aftermarket with navigation or some other crap

Here is a website for just your problem I just received my reconditioned board installed it and the problem is fixed. I tried all kinds of previous repairs noting worked. I am a Ford tech.
