Default power window stuck down

My 97 f150's (4.6L 4x4) driver side window is stuck down. The passenger window still works. When I press the driver side window button down there is a clicking sound coming from the fuse box under the wheel. The click seems to be coming from relay #4 which is the one touch down relay. Ive had no previous problems with the window, but after it got stuck down the battery died and when I took the battery to get checked they said it was bad, so i replaced it and everything except the window works fine. I dont think the window motor is bad because it stopped working out of nowhere with no signs of it going bad. I'm stumped any ideas what it could be?

Sounds like you need a new motor before it craps out totally.

I had the same thing happen. I pulled the door apart and knocked the motor around a little and the window worked for a few months. Then while the window was down again it completely went out. I tried to hit it a few more times but nothing was happening. I still had the little click noise when I tried to use the power but the window never came up. I ended up having to replace the motor and man are they a pain to do.

When in doubt, smack it with something hard! :-)
