Default Oil Change

Hi I have a 2015 2.7 EcoBoost and Im coming up on its first oil change. Was wondering how much oil it takes and if any of you have a type of oil you find works better than others. Thank you

Oil capacity should be in your manual. I like either motocraft or Mobil 1 for my Ford, but then I use only castrol in my 4runner.

I like Mobile one as well but I've had great luck with NAPA's Full synthetic too. I only change my wifes car oil every 7000 miles with full synthetic. My trucks use Castor Oil GTX high mileage since they both have 250K+ miles on them.

Hi.

In an EB, you want to be very careful which oil to run. EB's are very hard on oils.

Recommend Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30. Do NOT recommend Mobil 1 ( primarily due to the NOACK specification ).

Refer to this post (and the link within) fer more info: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/ecoboo...9/#post4150614

Oil capacities for the 2.7 L EB are on Page 363:

6.0 qt (5.7 L)

And here's a How-To - starting @ Post 9: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2-7-l-oil-change-299089/
