Odd Drain Plug

Odd Drain Plug
Without dust cap
With dust cap
So I went to change the oil for the first time on my '99 F150 4.6 and this was my drain plug. I've never seen anything like it. The dust cap came off with my fingers. There was some sort of weeper type hole in the center but no oil leaked. Took a 7/8 to get the plug off and boy was it really in there. I've never had such a tough time changing oil....

You have a quick change oil drain plug. There should be a hose with a fitting that screws over it, then the oil will start to flow.

Thanks! I called No Spill. Great service! Emailed them the picture and they said its not one of theirs.
Next time I change the oil, I'll either put a different system in or just use a traditional plug.

I would try to get the other piece that you screw onto it to drain the oil. Or, for me - I'd buy another whole one if I had to... They're fantastic. The ONLY way you can drain your oil without it running down your arm and dripping off your elbow or having to clean oil off your ratchet - or worse yet your driveway. And you can change the oil without a single wrench!
